Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Communications, and Structural design services for two new buildings at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida: the Navigation Training Hangar and the CSO Applied Instruction Facility. Together, the buildings total 150,000 square feet.

The Navigation Training Hangar portion of the project consists of the construction of a single story building to provide maintenance and aircraft housing to support the T-6A and T-1 aircraft and will also include Officer's offices, training areas, mission planning areas, and repair and part storage areas. In addition to the new hangar, the project also includes sun shelters for T-1 and T-6A aircraft on the South Ramp, the expansion of the Parachute Shop in existing Hangar Building 3260, and provisions for a new CALA (Combat Aircraft Loading Area) apron.

The CSO Applied Instruction Facility portion of the project includes the construction of a single story building that will contain SCIF and general classroom space, flight simulator areas, and office space.
