The SCG approach has been one of involvement in the building design and selection of mechanical and electrical systems from the inception of the project. The owner's goals are attentively addressed as components of the overall design of each facility. Long life cycle costs and high efficiency are considered from the central plant to the most remote rooms, including distribution of heating and cooling, power and lighting, and controls integrated for each discipline. One example of this approach is the use of day lighting to supplement the use of lighting fixtures.
