| The Performing Arts Center at the P.K. Yonge School, located on the University of Florida's Gainesville campus, is a cutting edge arts facility housing the chorus, drama, and band elementary music departments, as well as, a state-of-the-art auditorium. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. designed the Audio-Visual, Theatrical Lighting, and Communications systems for the Center. The new center seats approximately 500 and includes integrated recording and playback capabilities; acoustical treatments; ADA assisted listening systems; theatrical lighting; and communications systems. |

Yonge, a unit in the College of Education of the University of Florida, was established in 1934 to be a center of educational innovation for students, K-12. The school serves as a vehicle for research, demonstration, and evaluation regarding teaching and learning while utilizing the resources available on a state university campus. P.K. Yonge is dedicated to serve in such a role and will continue to fulfill this mission in the future. The Performing Arts Center is an excellent example of this dedication and commitment. |
