| The Community Services Complex at Northwest Florida State College’s Niceville campus is an innovative concept combining an arena, a public safety building, and an interdepartmental classrooms building. This configuration allows for the sharing of spaces and resources for use by many groups with similar needs. The facility includes a NCAA Regulation basketball court, a wellness/fitness center, public safety administration offices, a 911 call center, classrooms, and administration space. The building complex is designed to fit into the existing campus fabric and aesthetic while allowing each component a distinct identity. The 120,000 square foot Community Services Complex has a construction budget of $30 Million. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, and Communications design services for the project.
