Architects is currently designing the Advance Technology Center (ATC)
located on the Gulf Coast Community College (GCCC) main campus in Panama
City, Florida. Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. was chosen to provide
Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Information
Transport System design service for the new 104,472 sq. ft., four-story
facility.
The
new facility represents GCCC's commitment to becoming the premier resource
for advance technology training and education on the Emerald Coast. Educational
opportunities in renewable and alternative energies, sustainable building
design, computer integrated manufacturing, e-Learning and culinary arts
careers will be included in this facility.
Leading
by example, this facility will be built to meet the LEED® certification
standards and provide enhanced spaces compatible green building practices.
